Helios IT is a demo website concept — a complete, production-shaped site for a fictional managed-IT and cloud provider. It shows how a real client project comes together: a distinct brand and design language, a component library an editor can actually use, and copy written to sell a service.

The brief

Mid-market IT providers tend to have interchangeable, template-looking websites. The goal here was the opposite: a site with a clear point of view that a non-technical marketer could keep running on their own, without a developer in the loop for every change.

The approach

I built a bespoke design system from scratch — a light, confident "enterprise SaaS" look with a single blue accent, dark navy feature bands for contrast, a centred hero and crisp bordered cards — deliberately unlike my own dark portfolio, to prove the design is tailored rather than reskinned.

  • The whole page is an Umbraco Block List: eight block types (hero, trust strip, services, story, process, testimonials, FAQ and a contact CTA) that an editor drags, reorders and edits.
  • Every heading, paragraph and list item is content, not markup — nothing is baked into the views.
  • Each block optionally takes a full-bleed image or video background with a focal-point-aware overlay.
  • It ships with realistic demo copy and structured data (Organisation + FAQ schema) so it reads as a finished site.

The outcome

A template that a real IT company could adopt and run themselves — and a demonstration of the full stack of a web project, from brand and layout to a genuinely editable CMS build.
