Evora — AI Health Companion

Evora is a calm AI health companion for iPhone — “Eat smarter. Feel stronger.” It is not another calorie tracker and not a chatbot, but a personal health OS that unifies food, the body's signals and AI guidance in one quiet, Apple-native place.

The challenge

Most nutrition apps fail in the same two ways: they demand relentless manual data entry, and they treat food in isolation from how the body is actually doing. The result is friction and guilt — streak-shaming, cluttered dashboards, abandoned logs. The design problem was to make logging effortless and to connect what you eat with your sleep, recovery and activity, so the app can offer guidance rather than just counting.

The approach

I built a native SwiftUI app whose defining principle is that the app does the thinking, backed by a .NET API. Effort is pushed out of the user's hands and into the software:

  • Effortless logging — snap a photo, say a sentence, or scan a barcode; the app understands the meal and estimates nutrition.
  • HealthKit integration reads sleep, recovery and activity, so guidance is personal to how the body is actually responding.
  • A deliberately calm UX — no aggressive nags, no clutter — that feels good to open every day.

The outcome

Evora turns tracking from a chore into a quiet daily companion: a full-stack product spanning a native client and an AI backend, designed end to end around the principle that health software should reduce effort, not add to it.
